Rides and Attractions Rates

Rock Climber
Come test your skill against the clock and your friends to see how quickly you can climb 24-feet up a rock wall while being safely harnessed in an auto-belay system.

Nabisco Endangered Species Carousel
Kids of all ages can take a ride on some of the world's most endangered species at Zoo Atlanta! The Nabisco Endangered Species Carousel takes zoo guests for a whimsical spin upon 38 hand-carved wooden animal figures. The ride also features a series of hand-painted murals depicting endangered mothers and babies in their natural habitats. The carousel is located in the Children's Zoo, and is housed under a colorful pavilion that protects it from the sun and rain. For more information please see Nabisco Carousel.

Georgia Natural Gas Blue Flame Express Train
All aboard! Hop on for a ride on one of Zoo Atlanta’s family favorites – the Georgia Natural Gas Blue Flame Express! A handcrafted replica of an original 1863 locomotive, the train is one of the Zoo’s most popular attractions, carrying up to 100 adults or 140 children. Climb in and enjoy while the one and only Gas Guy takes you on a fun, educational riding tour of part of the Zoo’s outer perimeter. The train is equipped with wide, comfortable seats, covered passenger coaches and lights for nighttime rides.

One parent rides free with any child under 42” tall.

From the great predators of the sky to the chatterboxes of the rainforest, the Zoo’s feathered stars take the stage with Time for Training, the 2008 Wildlife Theater show. Don’t miss raptors in flight, parrots with spunk, and exclusive close encounters with the Zoo’s most popular ambassadors!

Guest Services

Volunteers, Docents and Zoo Staff can provide helpful information about many aspects of the Zoo. Don't hesitate to ask!

Wheelchairs are available to our guests. There is a $8 rental fee. Electric Carts are $22 to rent.

Strollers are also available for rental. Single strollers are $8 and double strollers are $10. There is a $2 deposit.

There is a Wachovia Bank ATM at the front gate.

First and foremost: Enjoy the Zoo!

No Pets
We love animals, but for the safety of ours we do not allow pets, leashed or unleashed, onto Zoo grounds. (Service dogs are permitted)

Your Ticket
Your ticket is a revocable license and carries no cash value. This ticket, if lost or stolen,
will not be replaced and no refund will be allowed. NO REFUNDS FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER. Management assumes no liability for accident or loss to any person resulting from or in any way associated with the condition or use of the premises covered by this license, or by ingress thereto or egress therefrom.

Photography & Videography
Visitor agrees not to commercially use any photography or reproduction in any form taken during any visits to Zoo Atlanta, and visitor grants permission to the Zoo Atlanta and its agent to utilize Visitor's image, likeness and/or sound recordings for the purpose whatsoever in perpetuity.
