In 1974, the Macias Family, following their pursuit of excellence and utilizing their experience with Mexican food, established its first Mexican restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. Today they are located in Cumming, within the Forsyth County area. Their exceptional Mexican cuisine draws customers from the surrounding cities of Alpharetta, Suwanee, Buford, John’s Creek, Milton and Dawsonville.
The Macias family has always been proud of their food, which is a combination of dishes, recipes, ingredients, and cooking methods, from all around Mexico. Mexican cooking reflects many parts of the world, as immigrants brought dishes to Mexico from all parts of Europe. From Spain, we inherited rice, beef, milk, and cheeses. The French influenced most of our sauces, such as the burrito and enchilada sauces. And for centuries, Mexicans have eaten tortillas, beans, avocados, tomatoes and, naturally the chili peppers.
After many years of experience in the Mexican restaurant industry, Erasmo and Elvia Macias decided to open their own Mexican restaurant in Cumming, Georgia. This restaurant continues to operate under traditional Macias family policies - providing its guests the most authentic Mexican food and the best available food and service. They have created a different concept of the Mexican restaurant here in Atlanta.
Casa Macias, our new name, reflects our Mexican heritage. Casa Macias is about a Mexican home, the Macias home, where all our customers are our friends and part of our family. Make Casa Macias your hangout place, your second home. Erasmo and Elvia, and the rest of their staff, are very proud to have your patronage. Our dishes will continue to provide the authentic Mexican flavor of the food you have always enjoyed. We are always open to any suggestions you have. Please feel free to come and talk to us, and we will happily consider your opinions.... After all, Casa Macias is your home too.
